#31 Great Blue Heron
Ardea herodias
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1300 PDT May 20 2011
#30 Hairy Woodpecker
Picoides villosus
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1420 PDT May 19 2011
Not easily distinguished from a downy woodpecker, the hairy woodpecker is larger, with a proportionately longer bill, and lacks dark bars on the outer tail feathers, clearly visible here.
I also want to note that I've now seen 0.1% of the tetrapods (give or take)
#29 Savannah Sparrow
Passerculus sandwichensis
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1700 PDT May 16 2011
I'm not 100% on this one - any help is appreciated - many more pics after the jump:
#28 Pacific Wren
Troglodytes pacificus
IUCN Redlist: Not Assessed (T. troglodytes was Least Concern)
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1635 PDT May 16 2011
Formerly included in the species Troglodytes troglodytes, which was split into 3 in 2010: T. troglodytes in Eurasia, T. hiemalis in eastern North America and T. pacifius on the North American west coast.
I lured this one in with a recording of another singing, which provoked an energetic bout of singing all around me. Despite making itself so visible, it was still hard to get a good shot, as it moved so quickly.

#25 Barn Swallow
Hirundo rustica
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1530 PDT May 14 2011
I don't imagine many people will be surprised to hear that taking pics of such a fast and maneuverable bird is not an easy task.
Here's a blurry picture of its orange underside
And silhouetted against an ominous sky
#24 Pine Siskin
Carduelis pinus

Another phone pic. A pair of ravens were chasing this eagle around the lake for a while.

#20 Cooper's Hawk
Accipiter cooperii
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1210 PDT April 22 2011
I hope I've got this one right. The most likely other possibility is a sharp-shinned hawk, and I went with Cooper's hawk due to size - this bird was in a tree with a crow, and was very similar in size. According to the wonderful Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Western North America

#19 Dark-eyed Junco
Junco hyemalis
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern
Location: Victoria, BC, Canada
Time: 1145 PDT April 22 2011
The dark-eyed junco is a highly variable species, with several subspecies in about 6 groups. This individual is from the Oregon junco subspecies group, easily recognised by the distinct black hood. The infinite well of wisdom that is Wikipedia suggests that it may in the future be recognised as a distinct species.

Cathartes aura
IUCN Redlist: Least Concern

Left my camera at home, so of course there's so much wildlife to see - these are from my phone. Here's a blurry shot where you might just make out its red face:
